What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead the evolution of large-scale Android applications that serve a global user base. This means defining architectural direction, setting engineering standards, and ensuring the platform is resilient, scalable and high performing.
You’ll work closely with product and design partners to translate complex requirements into elegant mobile experiences. Alongside shaping long-term technical strategy, you’ll remain hands-on — reviewing code, validating new approaches, and guiding delivery across multiple initiatives.
You’ll also act as a technical reference point for the wider engineering community, mentoring senior engineers and influencing mobile best practice across teams.
Your background
Extensive experience building and scaling complex Android applications in high-traffic environments
A proven track record of technical leadership within established engineering teams
Strong knowledge of modern Android development practices and architectural patterns
Experience driving performance optimisation, reliability and maintainability at scale
Comfortable influencing stakeholders and aligning technical decisions with commercial priorities
A passion for raising engineering standards and developing other engineers
