What you’ll be doing
You’ll translate complex business and technology requirements into robust integration architectures that can handle demanding transaction volumes. You’ll shape how systems communicate through APIs and event-driven platforms, establish patterns that teams can consistently apply, and ensure solutions are designed for availability, resilience and performance.
You’ll also take ownership of the wider architecture around security, infrastructure and observability. From defining secure access patterns through to enabling effective monitoring and end-to-end visibility, you’ll help create platforms that are dependable and easier to operate. You’ll act as a technical authority across delivery teams, challenging architectural decisions where necessary and helping maintain a high engineering standard.
Your background
You’ll bring 3–5+ years in a Solution Architect, Integration Architect or API Architecture role, ideally within complex enterprise environments.
You’ll have strong experience with ESB technologies, Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures, alongside modern microservices.
You’ll understand API-led architecture across system, process and experience layers, with a strong grasp of reusable API design.
You’ll be confident designing API security using technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS and rate limiting.
You’ll have practical knowledge of observability and application monitoring, with exposure to platforms such as ELK, Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus or Grafana.
Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, insurance/financial platforms or major third-party integrations would strengthen your profile.
