Some sales roles ask you to inherit a territory. This one asks you to build one.
An international technology company is establishing its presence in Thailand and is looking for its first senior commercial hire on the ground. You’ll have the opportunity to take an emerging technology proposition into the Thai market, establish the relationships that matter and turn an early-stage operation into a commercially successful business.
As Country Manager, you’ll take ownership of developing the Thailand market from the ground up.
Working closely with the company’s founder, you’ll open doors across government agencies and major commercial organisations, identify where the technology can solve meaningful problems, develop strategic partnerships and take opportunities from first conversation through to contract.
The proposition spans satellite infrastructure, Earth-observation imagery and geospatial technology, with potential applications across areas including agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure and public-sector projects.
Direct satellite or geospatial experience would be highly valuable — but it isn’t essential.
What matters more is your ability to navigate complex technology sales in Thailand and bring credible relationships across government, public-sector organisations or major enterprises.
There is no mature Thailand sales operation waiting for you.
You’ll be the first commercial hire in the country, responsible for establishing the market presence, building an initial pipeline and helping secure the first significant customer wins.
That means this opportunity will suit someone comfortable creating rather than inheriting: developing market strategy, opening senior-level relationships, building partnerships and working with an international leadership team to adapt the commercial proposition for Thailand.
As the business grows, there is also potential to build and lead a local sales team.
You’ll likely bring 5+ years in enterprise technology sales, government sales, business development or strategic partnerships, combined with a strong network in Thailand.
Relationships across government agencies are particularly attractive, as is commercial exposure to agriculture, energy or mining.
Experience in satellite, geospatial, GIS, remote sensing or related technologies is an advantage, but strong government-connected technology sales experience can be equally relevant.
Most importantly, you’ll have the entrepreneurial mindset to operate as an early country builder rather than relying on the infrastructure of a large established organisation.
